Simon Webbe has been inspired by Pink to reinvent himself as a rocker.
The former Blue boyband singer who recently spent time in the Australian jungle on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! told The Daily Star how the US singer helped him to change his musical direction.
Simon said: "A lot of the inspiration for me is Pink. We did a gig together in Germany in front of 200,000 people. I did the cover of the Killers' When We Were Young and she turned around to me and said 'That was rocking'. Her saying that just inspired me again.
"She's someone that changed. Her first record was real hip-hop/R'n'B, then she went rock and the cool end of pop. I'm hoping that I can have the same impact."
The 29-year-old is even teaching himself to play the guitar to become a real rocker.
He revealed: "I've been teach myself on YouTube. I go on there and think of a song that I want to learn. I'm currently having a go at Sweet Child O' Mine.
"I'm into rock guitars now. The British invented rock music and I would love people to reference my music. One new track called Unforgiving is a heavy rock-guitar head-banger. People have said 'That can't be Simon from Blue. I would never buy his music but this record is amazing.'"
Simon denied Blue were reforming saying, "People are offering us deals to get back together but it's not the right time." http://www.metro.co.uk/fame/article.html?Simon_Webbes_Pink_makeover&in_article_id=456235&in_page_id=7&in_a_source=
